Withlacoochee River Park

Located in Dade City, this park has beautiful unpaved trails along the Withlacoochee River which makes for a scenic day of easy hiking. In addition there are paved trails throughout the park, for bikers as well as hikers. The untouched Florida setting delivers great opportunity for bird watching and wildlife viewing.

The unpaved 3 1/2 mile perimeter nature trail is easy hiking along the Withlacoochee River, through a shady forest of oak and pine trees creating a peaceful setting for an enjoyable hike. The 1 1/2 mile paved trail through this natural Florida setting can be enjoyed by hikers, bikers and roller bladders alike. There are several other trails throughout the park creating approximately 17 miles of a backwoods Florida hiking experience.

The park has restroom facilities, picnic pavilions and an observation tower which provides a stunning view of the entire property. The river also provides a tranquil and scenic journey for anyone wishing to canoe/kayak and a lunch site is provided on rivers edge.
