Where to Eat In Downtown Tampa

Sparkman Wharf

Sparkman Wharf is an entertainment complex on Tampa’s Downtown waterfront. Unique rows of recycled shipping containers have been transformed into take-out-style eateries. Outdoor seating provided around the wharf makes this an enjoyable and scenic experience. Live music and other forms of entertainment are usually provided on weekends. An outdoor Biergarten for adult beverages sits in the middle of the wharf.

Splitsville – “Southern + Social” Located at the Sparkman Wharf complex, Splitsville is a meal and more. Award-winning chef-inspired food, bar, bowling alley, pool hall, an all-around place to hang out, and have a good time.

Armature Works

Armature Works is a 73,000 square foot historically restored streetcar warehouse. The structure dating back to 1910 was once the repair and storage facility to the original Tampa Electric Streetcar and Railway Company. It has been authentically restored back to its former glory by using as many of the original materials as possible. Now Armature works houses the Heights Public Market, multiple restaurants, event spaces, bars, and shops.

Getting Around Downtown Tampa

Other than by car, to get around Downtown Tampa, you can take advantage of the free trolley, servicing downtown and Ybor City, or you can rent a scooter or take a water taxi. Of course, there is always walking, and with the Riverwalk, it makes walking in downtown a delightful form of getting around.
