Scenic Walking & Hiking Trails on Florida’s East Coast

Florida weather is great all year long and in our travels we have found some wonderful places to take a relaxing walk or a vigorous hike. We are listing our favorites here and as we journey through the state we will most definitely be adding to this list, so keep checking back.

Anastasia State Park

The Ancient Dunes Nature Trail loops through a shaded maritime hammock while meandering through the ancient dunes.  Also at Anastasia State Park one can walk the 4 miles of beach along the picturesque Atlantic Ocean.

Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park & Bulow Creek State Park

Interesting trails through the ruins of an historic 1820’s sugar cane plantation with connecting a 6.8 mile connecting trail to Bulow Creek State Park where one can view a 400 year old Live Oak Tree.

Princess Place Preserve – Palm Coast

Ravine Gardens State Park – Palatka

Washington Oaks Gardens State Park

South East

Jonathan Dickinson State Park

Miles of trails through Florida flatwoods & along a river. Paved and natural trails. Observation tower to view the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. Huge park with many outdoor activities available.

John D. MacArthur State Park

Beautiful trails along the Atlantic Ocean through tunnels of a coastal hammock and a long boardwalk over a waterway to the beach. One of our favorite walks so far!!
