Miles of marked trails through oak hammock and freshwater wetlands. Located on the northwest shore of Lake Hancock, this system of trails is a nature photographer’s playground as it seems with each step is another opportunity to snap a shot of a wading bird, an alligator, or a turtle.
There are several clearly marked trails of varying lengths, from easy walking trails to moderate hikes. The rule of thumb though, is that on every trail at Circle B Reserve, wildlife has the right of way. Meaning it is very possible to encounter an alligator on the trail. Several signs are posted warning visitors that if they encounter wildlife on the trail, to turn back.
Circle B Reserve is located at 4399 Winter Lake Rd. in Lakeland. Restrooms are located within the Discovery Center during hours of operation and portable restrooms are located outside of the Discovery Center and southwest of the parking area. There are 5 covered picnic shelters that are first come first serve.
