The center of attraction at this Florida State Park is absolutely the beautiful Atlantic ocean but there are many other activities to experience at this park just minutes away from the Historic Hub of Saint Augustine.
The beach at Anastasia Park provides near perfect opportunities for wildlife watching as beach walkers can spot birds, dolphins and occasionally whales. Birds are abundant in the tidal marshes and birdwatchers often spot osprey, eagles and roseate spoonbills and the nature trail through the hammock forest also provides great opportunities for wildlife viewing.
Kayaking and canoeing are also very popular here and with the more than 4 miles of beach to explore and several miles of park roads, bicyclists are also attracted to this beautiful ocean side park. No problem, At Anastasia water sports one can rent canoes, kayaks, sailboats and stand up paddleboards and at the Island Beach Shop and Grill one can rent a surf board or bicycle.
